HOW TO SELL ON Marketplace?

Welcome to Marketplace's world! Along with the team of Marketplace you will have the chance to sell your precious creations to thousands of clients around the world, knowing that on Marketplace they will find an excellent selection of clothing and objects especially made for kids and their moms.

If you are an artist or a designer, maybe an artisan or if just create for passion or make part of a small family business, if you represent a new brand, you can candidate to become a seller on Marketplace. 

The boutiques on Marketplace are carefully selected by our team. The chance to sell on Marketplace starts only after a deep analysis of the candidature and the visibility on our website is possible only by invitation. We try to select the best possible sellers dedicated to kids which satisfy our high-standard criteria. When selecting, we consider and evaluate quality, originality on creations and also the pictures and presentations of the items, how your Facebook page looks like and your online store as well (when applicable). 

If you sell and/or MANUFACTURE high quality products for kids, we would love to meet you! Fill out the candidature's form and if we think your products match out line and philosophy, you will be soon contacted by the Marketplace team . 

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I GET THE INVITATION?

Once your candidature has been approved, you will have the chance to access to our portal and upload your products and list them for free. 

You will be able to name your boutique, select the most suitable categories for your products, write a respective descriptions and upload a banner (1160x270). 

On the Manage boutique section, you will find a guided step to set the banner, upload the pictures, products and all the information which will be needed to optimize your sells. If you should have any inconveniences, you can check the faq section or write to boutiquesupport@marketplace.org

Once you have uploaded the images and descriptions, the products must be approved by our team in a way that they represent the quality and excellence that your clients expect to find on Marketplace. Once approved, they will automatically be online and you will be able to start selling them!

WHAT KIND OF PRODUCTS CAN I SELL ON Marketplace?

Marketplace is a marketplace of excellence dedicated to the kid's world. On this site you will be able to sell unique items, tailored or handmade. Small productions if you are an independent stylist.  

On Marketplace we love:

Handmade, retouched, restored or tailored products. Objects and clothing with your fantasy but made by others. Items of high value with at least 20 years of being "vintage". Industrial production such as fabrics, buttons, patterned stuff or printed designs in the category "Haberdashery". We remind you that every product will be analyzed by our team before being listed on the marketplace and visible  by customers. 

On Marketplace is not allowed:

That you propose products which are against the law. About this point, it is your full responsibility to be informed about the items not commercially allowed by the law. When it comes to international delivery, make sure that the product your are sending is permitted by the law of that place. 

IN WHICH COUNTRIES AM I ALLOWED TO SELL?

Marketplace's goal is the international market. 

Marketplace is translated in three languages: Italian, English and Spanish. We hope to add many more languages in the near future. 

How I introduce my items?

In the section Manage Boutique, click on My Products and then on "Add a Product". There, you will find the steps that will help you create your boutique. In every field you will have to fill in, you will find some explanation. 

The first step is to choose the right category for each product, then you have to give it a name, shipping cost and availability of your product. Remember to fill in every field and give a product full description. This way, you will make much easier for the client to find what they are looking for and find you.

You will also be able to upload pictures of the products in the Gif, JPG and PNG formats. We suggest the 4:3 size.

Then, you will have to verify all the information you gave and finally, confirm.

Once you have confirmed, the Marketplace team will analyze the product information. If your product is suitable for Marketplace, it will be online and you will get an automatic confirmation email. However, if your product should not meet our standards, you will get an email - with some suggestions to optimize the presentation.

WHICH PAYMENT METHODS ARE AVAILABLE? ARE THE METHODS OF PAYMENT?
CUSTOMERS can pay either with credit card or via PayPal (www.paypal.com), the easiest and most secure way to pay and to accept online payments in just a few simple steps. 

CUSTOMERS ONLY NEED TO introduce an email address and a password (or phone number and PIN) to pay easy, fast and secure.

PayPal is available in 203 countries and in 26 different currencies. 

WHAT ARE THE SHIPPING COSTS?

Every time you will introduce a product, remember to add the eventual shipping cost which will change according to the package's weight or size. You can get informed about different fees through Poste Italiane (in Italy) or other shipping companies like TNT, DHL, etc. we suggest you to create standard "Shipping profiles" according to the destination and weight. 

You will be able to set discounts to the shipping costs or if you will, offer the shipping for free. 

Promo examples: Combined Shipping, when a client buys more than one piece at your boutique, you can make them pay only the shipping for the most expensive one and GIVE the rest for free.

Free Shipping, for orders from a certain value. 

WHERE DO I SEE MY ORDERS AND THE SOLD ITEMS?

Go to Manage boutique section and you will be able to see all the orders and edit them when necessary. 

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I SET THE ORDER AS SENT?

When you set the order as sent, an automatic email will be received by the customerS to let them know that the package has been shipped. You can add to this email some personal information and the tracking number, so that the client can know the whereabouts of it. 

WHICH ARE THE Marketplace COMMISSIONS?

We do not add additional fees. When you sell an item, Marketplace takes 15% of the price, shipping costs excluded. 

HOW DO I PAY COMMISSIONS?

The commission payment will be in automatic, at the same time the client pays for the product. Example: if you sell a product at €100,00 shipping cost non included, you will receive €85,00 but you will have to make an invoice for €100,00. And at the end of every month, you will get an invoice from Marketplace with commissions detail.
